The blockchain Challenge
At the EIB Blockchain Challenge, the first competition of this kind organised at the EU bank, a group of 40-60 motivated coders are invited to use blockchain and process automation technologies to revolutionise transaction processing.
The selected coders will compete for two days (and two nights!) to propose a blockchain solution to a given financial instrument. To meet the challenge, coders will benefit from the expertise of renowned fintech experts, the EIB team and their main banking partners on the spot.
Participating in the EIB Blockchain Challenge offers you the possibility to:
- Take advantage of the mentoring by senior staff of over 25 international banks
- Co-connect with senior management and bank experts as well as coders from all over Europe

- Implement for the winner of the competition its prototype within EIB and turn it into a real solution that can shape the banking of tomorrow
Deadlines & Additional information
Any blockchain specialist with good coding skills is invited to apply today and no later than May 25th.
Few spaces for UI/UX specialists and developers will be available as well, however, it is on a first-come-first-servedbasis.
Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing process under EIB team’s discretion.
